How to Draw a Koala for Kids
A cuddly koala drawing in four clear visual steps. The big round ears and soft shapes make this an easy win for beginner artists ages 4–8.
See the grown-up comparison guides before you buy.
This koala starts with one dome shape for the head, then gains its two enormous fluffy ears, which is the step that makes everyone smile. The large nose at the end is the finishing touch. Take it one panel at a time and draw together rather than watching.
Make it your own
Give your koala a eucalyptus branch to hug, a curve of tree trunk to sit against, or a tiny joey clinging to its back. Soft grey shading makes the fur look warm.
