Learn to draw a chocolate chip cookie in four easy visual steps. Bumpy edges and simple chips make this a warm, screen-free art activity for ages 4–8.
See the grown-up comparison guides before you buy.
This cookie begins as a circle with a bumpy, uneven edge, which means there is no wrong way to draw it. Counting out the chocolate chips gives little hands a satisfying, repetitive task. Work through the four steps together and enjoy a drawing that is almost impossible to get wrong.
Make it your own
Draw a bite taken out of one edge with crumbs falling, add a glass of milk beside it, or line up a baking tray of cookies cooling by an open oven.
Draw a cookie in four steps
Step 1
Draw a circle with a bumpy, wavy edge all the way around, like a cookie fresh from the oven.
Step 2
Add a few small oval chocolate chips scattered across the upper half.
Step 3
Fill in more chips around the rest of the cookie.
Step 4
Finish with two round eyes, a tiny smiling mouth in the middle of the cookie.
