Two soft curved lines are all it takes to begin, and they quickly join into a plump oval body. This is a wonderfully forgiving first drawing because fish come in every shape imaginable. Work through the four steps together and let your child pick the fins they like best.

Make it your own

Give your fish a bowl with pebbles and a tiny castle, or send it into the open sea with a stream of bubbles, waving seaweed and a shoal of smaller fish following behind.
