How to Draw a Ice Cream for Kids

This ice cream begins with one scoop: a rounded shape with a soft bumpy edge along the bottom. The cone underneath is just a triangle, which makes the whole drawing quick enough to finish in one sitting. Read each step together and let your artist decide how tall the scoop should be.
Make it your own
Add a cherry on top, stack a third scoop in a different flavor, or draw a sunny park bench underneath with a few drips landing on a very happy puppy.
Draw a ice cream in four steps
Step 1
Draw a rounded scoop shape with a gently bumpy, scalloped line along its bottom edge.
Step 2
Add a long triangle under the scoop, pointing down, to make the cone.
Step 3
Draw criss-cross lines across the cone for the waffle pattern.
Step 4
Finish with two large oval eyes and highlights, a curved smile and blush cheeks.
